Visitors attend a meeting in a conference room at Mitland Meetings

Meeting outside the door, attending a course or training, or personal coaching. You need a location for it. Mitland Meetings meets the high demand for external locations for these kinds of activities. From a one-on-one meeting to a conference with 180 people, it can be done at Mitland Meetings.

Tim den Hartog joined as an intern in 2009 and is now the manager of Mitland Meetings. Den Hartog focuses within Mitland on the meeting center, 13 meeting rooms near the city center of Utrecht, the Science Park, and right along highway A27. “All conditions for a full agenda at our company,” Den Hartog knows.

Birds and trees
You can't deny the creativity of the employees at Mitland Meetings. The names of the rooms in building B come from the birds flying outside. In building C, the rooms are named after the trees standing at Fort de Bilt across the water. Den Hartog: “Hence the rooms Fuut, Snip, Iep, and Wilg.”

‘Nice to experience’
Mitland Meetings has many regular customers. The UMC Utrecht hospital, Rijkswaterstaat, various ministries, and also trainers like ICM and SSR know what to expect at the Utrecht meeting location. “The personal attention we have for all our guests translates into the fact that many guests feel at home with us. That is nice to experience,” says Den Hartog. “I see it in our agenda. Next year is already quite full, and we even have reservations for meetings beyond that.” Good accessibility is important, but the environment is also a plus for many guests. “The Voorveldse Polder, for example, is a nature reserve around the corner where you can take a walk. That is really an added value for many of our guests.”

Warm welcome
Den Hartog is happy to work in a real family business. “You feel here that there is trust in you, and the family is also genuinely interested in you as an employee. I always feel a warm welcome when I come in here. That’s because the four brothers have instilled it over the years; the sincerity towards each other.”
