Meetings away from home, take a course or training or personal coaching. You need a venue for it. Mitland Meetings meets the high demand for remote locations for these types of activities. From a one-on-one meeting to a 180-person conference, it's possible at Mitland Meetings.
Tim den Hartog came in as an intern in 2009 and is now the manager of Mitland Meetings. Den Hartog focuses within Mitland on the meeting center, 13 meeting rooms close to downtown Utrecht, the Science Park and right along highway A27. "All conditions for a full agenda at our company," Den Hartog knows.
Birds and trees
You can't deny some creativity to the staff at Mitland Meetings. The names of the rooms in building B come from the birds that fly outside. In building C, the rooms are named after the trees that stand on the Fort de Bilt on the other side of the water. Den Hartog: "Hence the halls Grebe, Snipe, Elm and Willow."
'Beautiful to experience'
Mitland Meetings has many regular customers. The hospital UMC Utrecht, Rijkswaterstaat, various ministries and also educators such as ICM and SSR know what to expect at the Utrecht meeting venue. "The personal attention we have for all our guests translates into the fact that many guests feel at home with us. That is nice to experience," says Den Hartog. "I see it in our calendar. Next year is already filling up nicely and we even have reservations for meetings after that." Good accessibility is important, but the surroundings are also a plus for many guests. "The Voorveldse Polder, for example, is a nature reserve around the corner where you can take a walk. That is really an added value for many of our guests."
Warm welcome
Den Hartog is happy to be working in a real family business. "You feel here that there is trust in you and the family is also genuinely interested in you as an employee. I always feel a warm welcome when I come in here. That's because the four brothers have instilled that over the years; the sincerity toward each other."
