Like the three other themed rooms in Hotel Mitland, the Swan Lake Suite has a balcony overlooking the water of Fort de Bilt and the greenery surrounding the hotel as well as a generously sized Jacuzzi. The difference with the other themed rooms is that the jacuzzi and the bathroom are in a separate part of the suite.
That layout allows the swan theme to be elaborated in a strong way. What immediately stands out is the unusual bed. It is a contemporary translation of the time-honored four-poster bed, but in the shape of a white swan, including the elegant undulations that so characterize this beautiful animal. To make the theme of this room absolutely clear, two swans in love look down on the bed from the wall. That bed, by the way, features a TV suspended at the foot of the bed at half height, so it is comfortable to watch with the pillow in the back. To increase the atmosphere and coziness of this suite, there is an electric "fireplace" in the room, which can be operated (also from the bed) by remote control.
