In the Holland Design Suite, a foreign tourist visiting one country after another will know within seconds of waking up in room 359 that he is in the Netherlands. In front of him he sees the noses of two enormous yellow clogs that make up his bed, and looking to the right, he discovers a wall with red and yellow tulips against a background of typically Dutch clouds.
The tourist is in the Holland Design Suite, one of Hotel Mitland's four themed rooms. Everything in this spacious room breathes Holland. The ceiling looks like a cloudless sky, the carpet is grass green, one wall is entirely taken up by a photo of the windmills of Kinderdijk and the room features an almost man-sized wooden windmill. To further eliminate any doubt about the travel destination, a small windmill has been placed on the huge Jacuzzi (lined with tulips, of course): "I love Holland. The double sink is made of Delft Blue pottery and the placemats on the coffee trolley contain pictures of typical Dutch cows. But aside from that consistently implemented thematic approach, the room is simply well-equipped. A large TV opposite the bed, a small desk as a practical workstation with a smaller TV above it, a sitting area with two Tulpi chairs and a balcony with a view of greenery and water like every themed room in Hotel Mitland.
